Colorado Now Requiring State ID Info for Tax Returns

The State of Colorado has made some changes for filing your individual tax returns this year. To help reduce fraud (which was prolific in 2014), they are now requiring information from your state issued ID or driver’s license or every tax payer. You will need to provide the state that your ID is issued from, the ID number, and the expiration date. Also, if you are married filing jointly, you will need to provide that information for both tax payers. Make sure to include this information with your tax documents this year!
